We spend a great deal of time in the gym as we workout and exercise to the best of our abilities.
As muscle building enthusiasts, we find our safe haven in the gym and among the muscle pumping machines.
Needless to say, and this is practically true, while we spend our time in gym working out and focusing on ourselves, we sometimes tend to slip and waste our time even in gym on things that are not supposed to have any particular meaning, that is, we sometimes tend to waste our time in gym and we don’t know that we are doing that.
1. Not Warming Up
One thing that a lot of us are guilty of is not warming up before our targeted workout.
We often think that warming up is only for beginners, and in our dedication and effort to build ourselves, we neglect the importance and worth of the warming up before working out.
That may seem like an attempt to save time instead of wasting it but on a long run, the time you save on warming up is, in fact, being wasted.
Skipping warming up is not a good way to save time, instead, you are only wasting it in the long run.
2. Using Cell Phone
One article suggests that we spend around 5 hours a day on our cell phone which is an alarming situation.

Socially speaking we do admit of taking photos of ourselves, places, and even food, working out in the gym is of no exception.
We are guilty of using that even in our gym where our priority should be working out and focusing on our body.
Needless to say, we probably spend a quarter of our time on cell phones when we are in the gym, while that time could have been utilized on other useful activities.
3. Taking Long Breaks
Taking breaks after your workout is essential. You have to catch your breath once you are done working out but what really does happen during that time?
Do you start talking with your friends or start focusing on your Facebook or Twitter? One of the things we mostly neglect about our workout is the breaks.
We take them for granted and we, instead of taking a break, we start relaxing, which is not the purpose of the break at all.
Taking breaks should let our catch our breath and help us be ready for the next exercise, instead of relaxing and chilling out.
4. Focusing on Your Looks
People actually do that and instead of working out they tend to keep their hair good and look at their best while sweating and pushing themselves.
That, in the long run, is a very undermined source of time wastage and must not be neglected.
You can focus on your looks all you want but when you’re working out, it should not affect your overall performance.
5. Doing The Wrong Workout
Yes, just because you tire yourself does not necessarily mean that you had a good workout. It is okay to learn and admit your mistakes.
This is especially true if you are a beginner.
You must ask frequently or do research to find the best suitable workout for your body.
If you fail to do so, you will only be wasting your time and tiring yourself only doing the wrong workout.
